You can use an eLink to receive and forward data from emiTags to Emit’s Internet-server. The eLink does not activate the emiTags themselves, but they receive data from the emiTags by radio after punching a TFP-control unit. The data is stored locally and forwarded via GPRS to Emit’s Internet-server. eLink can also be used to forward data from the normal ecards, if you use it together with an Emit ePost. The Emit ePost forwards the punching data from the chips. eLink is therefore especially qualified to receive online split times during an orienteering race, if TFP-control units or ePosts are in use. The ECU reader description is not complete, it should be: The ECU is mainly used for reading emiTags at the finish, but it can also be used for testing and reprogramming of emiTags and reading bty strength of etags.
